1. Which grade should I choose for my child? 

Grade 404 suits juniors learning the basics at school or beginner club cricket; 606 and 808 are well matched to players competing in regular hardball fixtures. ORIGINAL and ORIGINAL L.E. are for the most advanced young players performing at a high competitive level.

2. Does the Diamond Junior need knocking in before use? 

Yes. All English willow grades require proper conditioning before use with a hard ball. A minimum of 4–6 hours of knocking in is recommended to protect the blade from cracking and to maximise long-term performance.

3. How does the Diamond Junior's F4.5 face profile differ from the F2 on the Rival Junior? 

The F4.5 distributes energy across a wider area of the face, making it more forgiving for developing players who haven't yet refined stroke consistency. The F2 on the Rival Junior concentrates power more directly through the sweet spot, favouring juniors with a more aggressive, attacking technique.
